Intern - Golf Course Maintenance - Kohler
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: Kohler, WI

Opportunity
Assist the Superintendent and Assistants in the operation and management of course maintenance to prepare for an upcoming championship.
Specific Responsibilities
All aspects of golf course maintenance, construction, irrigation (installation, troubleshooting and repair) and drainage
Fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application
Turfgrass establishment
Employee training
Daily labor scheduling
Tournament preparation
Possible Projects: New construction, drainage, addition of trees, landscape of native plants, fairway contours, rogue grass removal.
Possible Research Work: Research of pesticide, water sampling and testing, nematode research.
Skills/Requirements
Must be attending or have completed a turf management program.
Understanding levels of course conditioning (how to determine, how to attain and how to compare with other courses).
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
