Intern - Golf Course Maintenance - Kohler

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

*This opportunity is for summer 2025

Opportunity

Assist the Superintendent and Assistants in the operation and management of course maintenance to prepare for an upcoming championship.

Specific Responsibilities

  • All aspects of golf course maintenance, construction, irrigation (installation, troubleshooting and repair) and drainage

  • Fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application

  • Turfgrass establishment

  • Employee training

  • Daily labor scheduling

  • Tournament preparation

Possible Projects: New construction, drainage, addition of trees, landscape of native plants, fairway contours, rogue grass removal.

Possible Research Work: Research of pesticide, water sampling and testing, nematode research.

Skills/Requirements

  • Must be attending or have completed a turf management program.

  • Understanding levels of course conditioning (how to determine, how to attain and how to compare with other courses).

  • Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
