BorgWarner Inc. Sr. Electrification Software Engineer in Kokomo Technical Center, Indiana
TITLE: Sr. Electrification Software Engineer
DUTIES: BorgWarner Noblesville LLC seeks a Sr. Electrification Software Engineer based out of our office at 2151 E. Lincoln Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.
Responsibilities include: developing embedded software using C, and Model based tools focusing on reusability across projects; assisting in debugging through established problem solving techniques and debug on bench; interfacing with Systems engineering to ensure software requirements are documented appropriately and analyzed prior to software design and implementation; supporting the development and maintenance of and adhere to the project family common software architecture; designing, coding, testing software following Automotive SPICE-compliant development process; ensuring document traceability from requirements through test cases; debugging and identifying root cause issues in the related area of work; analyzing and estimating SW Development Activities and Tasks; interfacing with Hardware design to develop Software; and performing consistency checks, and peer reviews of SW work products.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering and 36 months of experience in job offered or a related embedded software development position.
Required experience must include experience with the following: experience using MATLAB-Simulink; experience working with embedded electronics; experience conducting low level driver development; and experience using Agile.
