C/C++ Software Engineering Technical Leader - Network Platform Forwarding

Who You will work with:

This is an excellent opportunity to join Cisco's fastest growing product in DSE Routing group that champions new methodologies and creates scalable software solutions. We are looking for multiple experienced Software Engineers who can strive in a dynamic start up like environment, work with an expert and diverse team, participate in architecture design, software, and tools development across geographies.

What will you do:

As part of a diverse Cisco IOS XR team, you will play an integral part in software development process. A successful candidate for this role can be flexible, quickly learning new skills and taking responsibility for tasks and features. You will be solving new problems and tackling new challenges every day, with a focus on quality and attention to detail, supported by a team of fellow engineers to deliver new functionality and improvements to our customers. You will be developing a new feature or a fully automated test, investigating a problem, or using our test tools to ensure that our software is always high quality. Technology that you work in could be in Programmability, Routing Infra, etc

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience of min. 8 years.

  • You hold a computer science engineering or equivalent bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree or a PhD

  • strong in data structures and algorithm

  • strong programming experience in C or C++

  • automation experience with Python or GO

Nice to have:

  • experience in API programming, Routing, gRPC based services, network programming (TCP/IP), prior development experience in Cisco product is an added plus.

  • experience in complete software development cycle including automation is an added plus.

  • you are flexible, curious, a problem solver and a team player who can quickly learn new skills and own the responsibilities
