Purpose of Role

The Senior Executive, Marketing will be responsible for the development and execution of the offline, online and social marketing plans across Malaysia for retail and wholesale channels to drive sales and enhance brand awareness while ensuring the brand image and positioning is consistent across the region. He/she will also be assisting in the evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing communication plans and any adjustments that are needed to these plans.

Your Impact

  • Generate design concepts and ideas for marketing campaigns and communication materials.

  • Assist with all internal and external marketing campaigns, producing content and creativity for marketing projects and initiatives to enhance lead generation.

  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, provide insights for improvement and optimize accordingly

  • Keep abreast of consumer behavior, industry trends, social media and content, competitors’ activities, etc to optimize campaign outcomes.

  • Evaluate emerging technological changes for adaption of marketing activities

  • Analyze existing marketing collateral with a critical eye to Identify and improve current processes when needed.

  • Initiate key brand campaigns on online and offline channels to drive brand awareness.

  • Work closely with Retail/Wholesale Department to ensure key concepts are supported with comprehensive, commercial (KPI supported) marketing plans including consumer offers and in-store marketing packs.

  • Work with Sales and Merchandising teams to align and manage the seasonal planning process and key product stories.

  • Own and lead the seasonal planning process with partners and accounts.

  • Provide seasonal brief and direction to partner and accounts and review their seasonal plan according to brand and market needs.

  • Provide timely campaign directives and assets to partners and accounts, especially digital and social media assets.

  • Be the brand custodian – review all marketing communications and creatives to ensure they are executed to global brand guidelines.

  • Work with the territories to localize and implement local retail marketing opportunities leveraging global or regional assets.

  • Manage external agencies to deliver KPIs according to budget.

  • Manage and monitor marketing budget to align with business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Marketing and/or equivalent related field of education

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a retail sports, fashion, and apparel environment

  • Familiarity with Workfront or other related project management software is an advantage.

  • Strong command of English (both speak and write) to work with stakeholders and create marketing content

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint) and strong presentation skill

  • Proven track record of building, managing and maintaining healthy internal partner and client relationships

  • Demonstrate creative thinking and resilience as well as strong communication/negotiation skills to manage client demands.

  • Strong project management skills: organize and manage multiple projects to meet quality/brand standards and deadlines.

  • Demonstrate a strong passion for sports and the brand.

Workplace Location

  • Location: Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Office

  • Return To Work Designation: Hybrid work arrangement permits working from home on Mondays and Fridays, with flexibility subject to company and business requirements.
