The Opportunity

This position works out of our Cologne, Germany location in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Gemany GmbH.

Primary Objectives

  • To support the marketing team to achieve the business objectives by executing business critical tasks related to contracts and purchasing, congress and events, marketing communications, preparation of presentation for executive reviews, assisting with 5-year market modeling and revenue planning, aiding the team with competitive blunting initiatives and other tasks which are necessary to the marketing team.

Top responsibilities

  • Support the international team with third-party contracting and purchasing including PO generation, submitting vendors for approval, negotiating, following-up with payment.

  • Support the Communications Manager with ensuring marketing material is correctly reviewed, approved, translated and updated in the Abbott systems.

  • Manage all related tasks for Abbott ad-promo system and support coordination with relevant stakeholders.

  • Raise and manage requests for design or digital marketing with in-house teams.

  • Manage KPI metrics and budgeting for improved efficiency and achievement of margin targets. Collaborate with finance to build relevant reporting as it relates to the marketing budget.

  • Organize events to boost brand visibility and establish key customer relationships.

  • Support the annual 5-year market modeling and revenue forecasting.

  • Support the Director of Marketing with preparation of executive presentations and business reviews including the data analysis.

  • Analyze competitor strategies and market trends to support strategic decision-making.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, business, finance or other related competency; Master’s degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years related marketing support

  • Multinational companies experience

  • English fluency

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong detail orientation

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Analytical, creative and operational marketing skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Team player

  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
