Job Description
As a Design Intern at AECOM, you will dive into the dynamic field of architectural design, working alongside our seasoned design team on impactful projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to refine your skills, contribute to real-world projects, and gain invaluable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the design team to develop and execute visual assets that align with project goals and adhere to brand standards.
Support in creating various design elements, such as marketing materials, user interfaces, and product prototypes, under the guidance of senior designers.
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative ideas to address design challenges.
Conduct research to back design concepts, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Refine designs based on feedback from team members and stakeholders, contributing to a high standard of quality.
Prepare and deliver presentations to effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and decisions.
Assist in organizing and managing design files, assets, and documentation for streamlined project workflows.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited architecture or design program.
Proficient in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign.
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4/Bac+5) in a relevant field.
Showcase a strong portfolio that demonstrates both design expertise and creativity.
Thorough understanding of core design principles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning and the ability to incorporate feedback for ongoing improvement.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Fluency in both English and French.
