Position Purpose: The Sr. Assembly Integration & Test Spacecraft Manager will have expertise in Aerospace programs and managing team activities and schedules. This engineer will be working in a team environment, with a focus on day to day and weekly planning, scheduling, and executing assembly and test activities with management of multiple Spacecraft programs occurring simultaneously as they are processed through the Blue Canyon manufacturing and test facilities. Development work will include daily and weekly schedules and management of team activities to meet hardware delivery and program milestones.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $185,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of Assembly Integration and Test programs. Prepare and support SRR, PDR, CDR presentations to the Customer. Work in a fast-paced team environment leading the integration and testing activities of flight spacecraft hardware. Work with Systems and Design Engineering to support verification planning. Collaborate with program management, system and subsystem engineers, mission assurance, technicians, and other program stakeholders. Author, review, update, and implement Integration and Test Plans. Provide ongoing inputs on the scope of work, schedule, and cost to Program Management, including staffing forecasts and labor hours, and other direct costs for executing I activities. Manage the hardware activities with the team, the system engineers, mechanical engineers, planners, production technicians and test engineers by planning weekly and daily activities in the integration assembly and test of flight spacecraft hardware Develop and maintain weekly and daily planning schedules for the supported programs. Provide scheduling input to the program manager, identify additional support needed to meet hardware delivery milestones Interface and coordinate with customers and suppliers for program, design, and peer reviews. Provide technical oversight and support to teams of engineers and technicians. Lead test teams and assist in mentoring other manufacturing and test team stakeholders. Define EGSE and MGSE necessary to support programs. Help identify nonstandard or additional testing when we are integrating and testing payloads as part of a space vehicle test program. Support space vehicle launch campaigns when necessary. Prepare technical documentation and give presentations to peers, management, and customers

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree preferably in an engineering field Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education 7+ years of experience working with spacecraft level system integration and test Experience with budgets, schedule, and planning for performance and environmental testing Experience with managing technical and programmatic priorities and risk mitigation Experience with ERP/MRP systems and the underlying principles that relate to cost and scheduling Ability to support and mentor a team of technicians and test engineer Ability to work well in a fast paced, team environment Ability to interact with other functional disciplines in a program team environment. Demonstrated leadership and team building skills Strong interpersonal and communications skills

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company.
