1. SUMMARY:

• Routinely inspects and maintains manufacturing and installed systems including but not limited to machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, drains, shop, and grounds.
• Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
• Assists with the installation and modification of manufacturing equipment systems.
• Creates and maintains up-to-date service and replacement data files for manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Acts as agent for procurement of service contracts/repair work; assists with purchase of many facility fixtures and equipment.
• Communicates need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment to appropriate manager.
• Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
• Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
• Inspects manufacturing equipment and grounds for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
• Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
• Prepares required reports and correspondence.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

3 years experience in a maintenance position

Strong Electrical Experience.

Strong Welding Experience, all types. Certification preferred.
