Position Summary:

The VP USDA Servicing Manager directs and manages the workflow and assignments of the department. The position provides direction and guidance on moderate to complex servicing transactions related to small business loans, commercial loans, USDA guaranteed loans, as well as syndicated loans. This includes overseeing processes relative to payment posting, payoff transactions, loan boarding, tickler monitoring, and required government reporting functions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide input and oversight of employees, scheduling, daily management of duties, providing 1:1 coaching, and managing timecards and performance.
  • Effectively train new servicing specialists in department workflow, servicing inbox expectations and systems functionality and purpose
  • Oversee daily servicing responsibilities ensuring a high level of quality service, accuracy, and timeliness in all requests. Provide supervision for all servicing related transactions and requests including payments, advances, incoming and outgoing wires, payoffs, and other transactions.
  • Process QA reviews for boarded loans including tickler monitoring.
  • Communicate with internal and external business partners and vendors to ensure servicing related items are addressed timely and adequately.
  • Prioritize and assign incoming loans to be boarded ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
  • Review customer service escalations for appropriate resolution or further escalation
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Provide oversight and guidance for all servicing related transactions and requests including payments, advances, incoming and outgoing wires, payoffs and other transactions;
  • Maintain and review effective QA for boarded loans including tickler monitoring;
  • Oversee file coordination process to ensure applicable imaging, critical document retention and timely disposition of paper files;
  • Manage, prioritize, and assign incoming loans to be boarded ensuring adherence to service level agreements;
  • Establish, communicate, and review Service Level Agreements for all incoming loan boarding requests;
  • Create, maintain, and review department procedures; ensuring appropriate training is delivered to staff as well as ensuring staff follow procedures in effect;
  • Oversee daily servicing responsibilities ensuring a high level of quality service, accuracy, and timeliness in all requests;
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all required Government Agency reporting USDA quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting.
  • Possess and maintain broad knowledge of the job functions required in the positions you directly supervise.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely via an appropriate level of verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in working with peer teams across organizations.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs and platforms.
