nVent National Sales Manager – ILSCO Aluminum Extrusions in Lagrangeville, New York

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Build relationships with key customers and market drivers to influence sales of nVent Ilsco aluminum extruded products & services.

  • Create product demand by identifying and meeting with engineers & specifiers from end-users, OEM and Fabricators to utilize our aluminum extrusions and fabrication processes.

  • Promote features effectively in demonstrating our value propositions and highlighting product benefits for each application & market segment.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with transactional accounts and within Pricing and Product Management guidelines.

  • Closely collaborate with marketing team and product specialists to identify industry and regional opportunities and determine appropriate product launches, sales models and methods to support market growth.

  • Partner closely with OEM sales team to determine penetration strategies and coordinate relationships between targeted end users and nVent.

  • Handle Opportunity Funnel on Salesforce.com by identifying and reporting new opportunities, by converting Marketing Qualified Leads.

  • Act as the voice of customer conduit between the field and support functions; collaborate with various business functions to assure direction on products, processes, and strategies.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or applicable experience in sales.

  • Ideally, 5+ years of outside sales experience preferably in aluminum extrusion or metals and or metallurgy concentrating on OEM sales.

  • Ideally 2+ years of experience leading direct reports and or manufacturing representative firms.

  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and travel nationally and at times in Canada, around 50% of the time.

  • Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and diplomacy both internally and externally in a selling environment.

  • Skills in balancing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner.

  • Ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present their views clearly and compellingly.

  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably salesforce.com.
