Job Description
Are you an ambitious and proven payroll professional looking for the next step in your career? Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join our world-class Human Resources team. As a Payroll Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring flawless execution of payroll operations for our organization.
Responsibilities:
Determine and oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll-related issues and improve processes
Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations
Supervise a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance and support
Successfully implement new payroll systems and technologies
Ability to work multiple simultaneous projects and maintain flexibility and control in the management of change while ensuring payrolls are processed within timeframes.
Data Analysis: Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, errors, and anomalies. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate payroll calculations and payments.
Reporting: Prepare and generate payroll reports for local entities (CCSS, INS and treasury) and management review, including but not limited to payroll summaries, tax filings, and employee earnings statements. Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Assist with payroll audits.
Drive continuous improvement mindset by challenging existing processes, providing innovative solutions, leveraging KPIs and best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Train and supervise payroll team and ensure payroll staff is organized and meets deadlines
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration (Accounting, Finance or Human Resources).
Fluent in English.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration
2+ years of experience with ADP payroll processing
Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
Communication skills and team work capability
Ability to operate and deliver independently without day to day supervision.
A proven ability to mentor and motivate a Payroll team
