Role Description:

As the Seed Marketing Lead for Corteva Pakistan, you will spearhead the growth of our Pioneer Seed Brand within the country. This role demands adept leadership of cross-functional teams to effectively position our products in the market and execute robust marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass optimizing our product portfolio, fortifying brand positioning, pursuing growth initiatives, overseeing campaign development, and closely coordinating with the Agronomy function to shape our future portfolio. Furthermore, you will be tasked with comprehensively analysing market trends and industry landscapes to drive strategic decision-making. Within your team, you will directly manage a Brand & Campaign Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop short-term and multi-year (5 Year & 15 Year) strategic growth plans and implement strategic marketing plans for the Seeds business unit in alignment with business direction and regional strategies to deliver the revenue and profit goals of the business.

  • Portfolio Life Cycle Management - drive successful new product launches, decline, and exits to maintain a competitive portfolio in the key focused segments.

  • Ensure consistent application of corporate branding and execution of marketing communication objectives.

  • Lead market analytics and customer insights initiatives to inform strategic decision-making.

Brand Building and Market Positioning:

  • Lead efforts to position Corteva Pioneer Brand as the leading provider of corn seed technologies in Pakistan.

  • Devise strategies to capture our market entitlement to expand market share and elevate brand visibility across all segments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • PMT (Portfolio Management Team) Leadership - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and lead business initiatives, in alignment with regional and global guidance.

  • Work closely with Country Business, Sales, Agronomy and Commercial Teams to enhance performance management and competency building within Demand Generation teams.

  • Collaborate with the Agronomy Function to understand market trends, industry landscape, and future needs, and integrate insights into product development and marketing strategies.

Market Development and Growth Initiatives:

  • Develop and execute farmers' and channel partners' programs that drive business growth while delivering value to farmers through Corteva products and technologies.

  • Collaborate with PMT (Product Management Team) to identify new market opportunities and implement effective growth strategies.

Campaign Development and Execution:

  • Oversee the development of marketing campaigns that effectively promote Corteva's seed products and align with brand objectives.

  • Work closely with the Brand & Campaign Lead to ensure campaigns are strategically planned, executed, and measured for effectiveness.

  • Seek viable opportunities to leverage new technologies and platforms (e.g., social media, mobile etc.) to extend and promote products campaigns and their performance.

  • Provide guidance and support to the Brand & Campaign Lead in developing creative assets, messaging, and integrated marketing plans.

Competency Building and Performance Management:

  • Support in building competency within the marketing and demand generation teams to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.Drive competency building initiatives to elevate organizational effectiveness.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Guide and coach marketing teams to enhance performance and drive results.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the marketing organization.

External / Influencers Engagement:

  • Collaborate external corn value-chain stakeholders and influencers to expand product performance experiences and usages to create pull in the market

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

  • Proven experience in marketing leadership roles within the agriculture industry, preferably in seeds.

  • Strong understanding of the Pakistani agricultural market dynamics and customer needs.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrix organization.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans.

  • Proficiency in market analysis, digital marketing, and brand management.

  • Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
