Corteva Agriscience National Sales Manager- Seed in Lahore, Pakistan

Role Description:

As the National Seed Sales Leader for Corteva Pakistan, you will be at the forefront of driving sales growth and market penetration for our Pioneer® Seed Brand across the country. This position requires exceptional leadership skills to effectively manage a high-performing sales team and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve sales targets and market share expansion. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating strong customer relationships, and ensuring the successful launch and promotion of our seed products. Reporting directly to the Country Commercial Head of Operations, you will lead a team of Sales Managers and Demand Generation Representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify sales opportunities and address potential challenges.

  • Lead the execution of sales plans, monitor performance metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed sales targets.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the sales team, including Regional Sales Managers and Demand Generation Representatives, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the sales team's skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement capabilities.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and execute plans to enhance product performance & customers' experiences.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners to drive loyalty and maximize sales opportunities.

  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Agronomy functions to understand customer needs, market dynamics, and product positioning strategies.

Sales Forecasting and Budget Management:

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and other relevant departments.

  • Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure financial objectives are met.

Product Launch and Promotion:

  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to develop and execute effective product launch plans and promotional campaigns.

  • Ensure timely availability of marketing materials and support resources to enable the sales team to effectively promote and sell seed products.

Market Expansion and Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market reach and penetration through new customer expansion, market development initiatives, and strategic partnerships.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore new innovative sales approaches.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

  • Prepare regular sales reports, performance dashboards, and business reviews for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the agriculture industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Pakistani agricultural market, including customer needs, preferences, and distribution channels.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.

  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, budget management, and data analysis.

  • Fluency in English and Urdu; knowledge of regional languages is advantageous.
