Job Title: Shipping Specialist
Job Description
Position Summary: We are looking for an Order Management and Shipping Specialist who will report to a Coordinator.
First shift 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime until 6pm
Responsibilities:
• Perform activities related to order management and shipping.
• Fully understand customer requirements; take all necessary actions to meet these requirements.
• Manage backorders for timely picking, packing, and shipping.
• Identify problematic and held-up orders; resolve the problem or get it resolved.
• Release orders for timely picking and release work for effective and efficient staffing.
• Track and report order progress to ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping; report gaps to distribution leaders.
• Manage transfers between distribution centers to support order completion.
• Perform inventory moves and cycle counting to support order completion.
• Identify, research, and fix inventory problems.
• Prepare orders for shipping and load trailers.
• Systematically ship orders.
• Manage the shipping dock; keep it organized and safe.
• Report and fix exceptions and failures.
• Communicate and partner with cross-functional partners, customers, and freight companies.
• Support the outbound order audit program.
• Support distribution leaders and cross-functional supply chain partners to plan and manage orders and inventory.
• Complete additional duties as assigned

This is a fully on-site position in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
