About the Role & Team

The Disney Decision Science & Integration (DDSI) team provides internal consulting services for clients across The Walt Disney Company including Disney Experiences, Disney Entertainment, ESPN, and Corporate. Roles within the organization develop, analyze, and implement strategies to increase profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders.

Our team within DDSI is seeking to fill a manager role to project lead the delivery of the annual Disney Data & Analytics Conference (DDAC) at Walt Disney World Resort (WDW). In this role, you will handle the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of the event. You will lead a matrixed team of professionals and partner with several key stakeholders within the company to deliver an industry-leading event.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of project management professionals to deliver the annual Disney Data & Analytics Conference.

  • Lead the budget for all event-related work streams.

  • Develop and lead the overall project schedule for DDAC.

  • Champion team growth through training, coaching, and mentorship.

  • Ensure all aspects of the conference according to specifications and within budgetary constraints.

  • Lead conference presentation reviews with appropriate stakeholders.

  • Lead event sponsorships, including contract management and responding to inquiries.

  • Ensure all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities.

  • Lead event logistics, including registration, room blocks, transportation, accommodations, and resource assignments.

  • Supervise event activities to support Guest and attendee satisfaction, making adjustments as necessary.

  • Prepare post-event reports and lead evaluations to measure the event’s success.

  • Innovate and bring new ideas to enhance the event experience.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of related project management experience or leadership on a project.

  • Shown experience running the planning of large-scale corporate events.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Proven track record in leading and running multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proven ability to partner optimally with a diverse set of clients and partners of varying job levels.

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization where the ability to influence others is critical to individual and team success.

  • Creative problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps and services.

  • Demonstrated keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification(s).

  • Ability to lead teams and bring clarity in an environment with a moderate degree of ambiguity.

  • Proven ability to set priorities in response to a rapidly changing business environment.

  • Prior experience being accountable for the performance and results of a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor team members, encouraging a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Experience providing internal client services.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or other graphics programs.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Smartsheet platform or similar project management tools.

  • Proven customer service experience.

  • Strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, proactively seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes.

  • Familiarity of Disney business proven experience.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
