Description

The selected candidate will work for Stony Brook University's Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine as a full time, patient focused clinician in an ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting that is collegial and team based (No inpatient requirements). Candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching mission, research projects and collaborate on innovative evidence based patient care programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
MD (or foreign equivalent). DEA Certification. Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine. New York State Licensed or eligible. Skilled in the full scope of care rendered by Family Medicine physicians. Graduate of an Accredited Family Medicine Residency Training Program.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years family medicine experience. Experienced working in a patient centered medical home environment. Interest teaching residents and medical students.

To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
