Description
A Robert Half / Accountemps client in the Lake in the Hills area is seeking a Bookkeeper for a contract-to-full time opportunity. As communicated by the Accountemps client, the duties for this Bookkeeper will include but not be limited to Month End, Packaging P& L, Reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, (small office) HR Support, Workers Comp, and renewal/business insurance. The right candidate must have 2+ years Bookkeeping experience and light level support for HR functions. Requirements
Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
- Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Microsoft Excel experience highly desired
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Adeptness in Financial Statement
General ledger experience preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Previous experience with payroll preferred
3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
