Insight Global Senior Product Engineer in Lake Mary, Florida
Job Description
Product Design and Maintenance:
o Develop and maintain standard engineering, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings for tanks, PLCs, controls, pumps, blowers, and other components.
o Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and company specifications.
o Create and maintain electrical schematics and component specifications
o Develops and maintains SOPs for all equipment.
Component Selection:
o Evaluate and select appropriate pumps, blowers, sensors, and other components based on performance requirements, cost, life-cycle cost and reliability.
o Work with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality components and materials.
Operational and Maintenance Documentation:
o Develop comprehensive O&M manuals for both operational processes and mechanical components.
o Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and tailored to the needs of installers, operators, and maintenance personnel.
Training and Support:
o Provide training and technical support to assembly and fabrication companies, installers and field technicians on product fabrication, assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance.
o Conduct regular workshops and hands-on training sessions to improve technical competencies across the team.
o Review and qualifies current and new assemblers and installers.
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
o Oversee quality control processes to ensure that all products meet required standards and specifications.
o Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations teams to develop new product features and enhancements.
o Participate in the evaluation and testing of new technologies and materials to drive product innovation.
Project Management:
o Manage product engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
o Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate progress to stakeholders.
Business Development:
o Supports Business Development group by developing standard and special project cost models.
o Develops technical, commissioning and O&M offering approach for proposals being offered by Business Development group.
Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure all products comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
o Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for product handling, installation, and maintenance

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Engineering experience working with a physical product (not IT) within manufacturing
AUTOCAD or Solidworks experience Experience in wastewater or wastewater equipment null
