Responsibilities Ability to respond in an efficient and effective manner to urgent production needs to equipment. Disassemble, repair, replace, and install mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications. Utilitze precision equipment instillation techniques (laser alignment) for preplaced or newly installed equipment. Proficient knowledge, understanding and ability to replace belts, sheaves, chains, sprockets, and bearings. Prodiciently able to provide tension and alignmnet to bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives. Understands lubrication standards and can install and adjust lubrication systems. Proficient knowledge of mechanical fasteneres, specifications, and standards of installations. Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution, and documentation of schedules/unscheduled work daily. Ability to run all macninery proficiently and to operational standards. Advanced ability to diagnose and repair all mechanical power transmission equipment to original equipment manufacturer specification. Proficient knowledge of gear boxes, mechanical drives, variable speed applications, and motors. Ability to understand the working principles of heat exchangers including troubleshooting and repair. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including ability to complete repairs and rebuild cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices. Experienced in machine shop equipment with the ability to fabricate. Demonstrate proficiency in mill, lathe, chill press, and the ability to TIG weld to food grade standard. Advanced knowledge of pipe fitting, insultating, rigging applications. Ability to measure, cut, ream, thread, and join various materials of piping. Ability to demonstrate advanced electrical troubleshooting knowledge in motor control circuits, including use of multimeter. Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation. Understands process theory & equipment capabilities. Lead in root cause failure analysis in equipment failures. Ability to teach equipment knowledge and maintenance skills demonstrably & verbally. Demontrates the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels. Responsible for adhering to all safety policies and procedures, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Take person responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to Quality and work practices, follow Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is mainteained. Ensure that all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety and Quality are followed and complied with, in effor to reduce process variability. Working knowledge of PLC's Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. 5+ years experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to do basic bath. Prior food manufacturing Trained in OSHA 40 hour, Arc Flash, LOTO, elsectrical system and fall protections. Experience in mechanical systems, and pnematics.
