American Battery Solutions Systems Test Engineering Co-op in Lake Orion, Michigan
Job Summary: The Systems Test Engineering Co-op is responsible for supporting bench and customer testing for the development of high-voltage automotive battery packs. The Systems Test Engineering Co-op will be responsible for working cross-functionally, (including systems engineering, validation, testing, product engineering, software engineering, and program management teams), to support the definition and execution of development testing designed to verify system-level requirements at a battery pack; instrument DUTs for CV testing; create problem reports and drive resolution of these problems; and collect, process, and analyze test data for internal and external customers. Responsibilities: * Supports the development of system testing requirements, test cases, and test execution on a high voltage pack application. * Support problem resolution of issues identified during testing, utilizing the cross-functional engineering team. * Support Flashing of internal and customer packs as well as arbitration of packs for external use. * Statistically analyzes the subsequent test data, creates tables/charts, prepares/presents the test reports to internal and external teams, and supports correlation to virtual validation efforts. * Update the team and the requirement management system with test results and support project teams to track the status. * Completion of an end-of-semester project presentation. * Report the progress of tasks regularly. * Adhere to federal and state regulations. * Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures. * Performs other duties requested by your manager. * Predictable and reliable attendance. Position Qualifications: * Undergraduate/graduate student working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Systems, or equivalent engineering degree. * Self-motivated problem solver, pays attention to the details, challenges the status quo, and strives for continuous improvement. * Contributes to team growth by collaborating with cross-function teams and completing projects promptly. * Adept in data processing and statistical analysis. * Effective communicator, capable of concisely presenting highly technical test data to internal and external customers, as well as effectively communicating with suppliers. * Abides by safety standards and protocols. * Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week up to a maximum of 25 hours per week. * A minimum of 3.0 GPA is required to be in the Co-op Program. * Must be actively enrolled in school. * Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
