Job Description

Executes the maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment used in operating room.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintains surgical implants and supply par levels; places purchase orders for required surgical implants and supplies; receives surgical supply deliveries.

  • Verifies accuracy of deliveries with purchase orders on file.

  • Transports and stores items in appropriate locations.

  • Enters implant tracking serial numbers into department computer system.

  • Assists in reviewing daily case schedule and pick lists and prepares case carts accordingly.

  • Enters each patient's surgical supply profile in department computer system.

  • Captures and records surgical supply charges for all surgical cases.

  • Identifies and corrects implant and supply discrepancies, as needed.

  • Maintains constant communication with Purchasing, Materials Management, and related departments.

Job Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

  • Healthcare experience, preferred.

  • Per-diem role, variable schedule.

The salary range for this position is $36,980-$55,690/year
