Summary You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the ALRE Test Site Operations & Support Branch (Code BL42100), Prototype Manufacturing & Test Dept., SE & ALRE Test & Evaluation Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Responsibilities You will work in the Environmental Testing Laboratory (ETL) and acts as the senior engineering technician for the Ship Motion Platform (SMP) and Elevated Fixed Platform (EFP) sites. You will be responsible for leading and directing operations, maintenance, and site upgrades for these sites as well as the oversight of lower graded personnel. You will be responsible for conducting environmental as well as test and evaluation efforts for various types of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles during their research and development stages. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: duties: 1) Extensive knowledge of the technical concepts, principles and practices acquired through prior extensive and diversified technical work experience in coordination with engineers or other technical personnel; 2) Well versed in advancements in the program area obtained by journal research and by technology transfer among other technical personnel in industry, Government and professional societies; 3) Maintain control of project technical aspects, including assignment to, and completion of, program related tasks of lower grade technical personnel and coordination and maintenance of all technical reporting;; 4) Ability to comprehend the technical parameters of the assigned program area such that its needs and requirements are adequately addressed, to tailor standardization program procedures to meet the equipment objectives and to assess detailed technical requirements for all phases of the lifecycle of the API equipment ranging from project initiation through Fleet service use.
