Join the Infrastructure Automation team at Publix Technology! As a Sr. DevOps Engineer 2, you will be responsible for playing a key role interacting with cross-functional enterprise teams and business partners to analyze requirements and drive product features to meet the needs of our Automation customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating automation for internal and external customers to reduce toil and improve speed of service leveraging ansible, terraform and python

• Troubleshoot and support existing automation workflows

• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to design new automation workflows for end customer.

• Educate and evangelize automation for customers – be an advocate for DevOps and infrastructure automation

• Deliver creative and forward-thinking design approaches for automation surrounding the Publix infrastructure environments across the organization

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus:

Year End Bonus:

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in an enterprise environment

• Experience automating system admin tasks with configuration management tools (Ansible, Packer, Vagrant)

• 4+ years of experience with provisioning tools (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Salt) with on prem VMWare environments and public cloud environments.

• Experience writing Python scripts and modules to support Ansible and Terraform – reverse engineer Python.

• 2+ years of experience with Github, Gitlab or Azure DevOps experience
