DescriptionDescriptionJob Title:Technical OperatorDepartment:ProductionReports to Job Title:Production SupervisorFair Labor Standards Act Status (FLSA):Exempt Non-Exempt X HourlySummary of the Position:The Technical Operator repairs and performs maintenance on various food processing and packaging equipment (including automated high-speed machines), systems and related machinery panels.Functions of the Position:% of TimeorMarginal (M)Essential (E)Functions Performed40%EOperation of packaging and/or processing equipment in a line operator position.40%ETroubleshoots and repairs processing and automated high speed packaging equipment, systems, and related machinery panels.15%EPerforms routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.5%MOther duties as assigned.ContinuallyResponsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.Supervisory Responsibility:Does this position have supervisory responsibility?
