DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business unit in Jamestown, NY.

Job Summary:

Supervises the daily activities of a production unit or teams.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enhance team productivity by effectively managing daily activities and meeting production targets.

  • Improve safety standards through diligent housekeeping and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Boost operational efficiency by working cross-functionally to implement process improvements.

  • Lead projects successfully by serving as the group lead and ensuring timely completion of work assignments.

  • Provide clear guidance and feedback to team members to help them accomplish tasks and goals.

  • Set clear expectations and clarify responsibilities to ensure everyone understands their roles.

  • Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and development.

  • Ensure high-quality output by maintaining strict quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Supervisory experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate level (3 to 5 years) of supervisory experience required.

  • Previous Management experience in a Manufacturing setting, preferred.

  • Develop and coach support team (ATL/Safety/Quality support) to lead line team.

Drive results (KPIs)- Ensuring the team meets daily Production Goals/Quality Metrics/Safety Standards.

Ensure teamwork within a large production team (60+ Operators). Strong drive to motivate and foster open and honest communication within the team.

  • Willingness to work hands-on with the team and lead by example.
