Primary Job Function Provide technical leadership and support in the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes. Responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and quality of chemical production processes while adhering to regulatory standards and company protocols. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including research and development, production, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement and innovation in operations. Description of Responsibilities Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. Collecting and analyzing data from various production processes, generating meaningful insights to drive decision-making and process improvements. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), process workflows, and guidelines for manufacturing operations, ensuring clear and concise instructions for team members. Conduct continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Contribute to root cause analysis investigations for process deviations, non-conformities, and equipment failures, assisting in implementing corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and R&D, to foster a collaborative environment and promote knowledge sharing. Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and actively participate in safety initiatives to maintain a secure work environment for all employees. Ensure a culture of behavior based safety by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines in all activities, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Knowledge and Skills Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in chemical process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions to improve processes effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating ideas and collaborating with diverse teams. Proactive attitude towards problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to approach challenges creatively. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. Passion for process engineering, and continuous improvement. Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Non climate-controlled factory environment; Concrete flooring that may be slippery at times due to graphite. Frequent lifting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping is required as part of this position. Exposure to audible and visual alarms, lights, etc. PPE may be required as appropriate.
