Apply Job Type Full-time Description Position Summary:The Consumer Underwriting Supervisor evaluates credit risk and makes loan decisions for in-branch and online home equity and other consumer loan requests. Supervises and leads the consumer underwriting support team.Duties and Responsibilities:Underwrites consumer online and in-branch loan requests specializing in HELOC requests; works in conjunction with loan operations, branch personnel and applicants to obtain the information necessary to complete the loan review.Monitors compliance within the application process. Supervises underwriting support team: provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.Adjudicates loan requests in a timely manner; issues loan stipulations and conditions when warranted; ensures that all loans have been cleared of all stipulations and are within credit policy and pricing guidelines.Responds to inquiries from branch personnel, co-workers and applicants in a timely and professional manner.Serves as subject matter expert for navigation and utilization of multiple operating systems. Troubleshoots, offers solutions and documents reoccurring issues. Escalates issues to help desk as needed.Provides accurate and timely reporting of loan activity to management and branch personnel; ensures that federal and regulatory reporting is completed. Quarterly HMDA reports reviewed for accuracy and submitted for exporting.Stays current on legal and regulatory requirements and changes. Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and conditions that may affect consumer loan products.Involved in assessment and vendor feedback. Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statues, and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.Other duties as required.The duties outlined above are a summary and may not be an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties. Requirements Qualifications and Skills:3-5 years of experience with consumer lending, banking or financial services is required.Experience with consumer lending laws, regulations and guidelines is required. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Encompass, Cleartouch, OnBase, various government and investor software/web portals is preferred.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other related field OR commensurate work experience is required.Necessary competencies:Resilience CommunicationService OrientationInterpersonal skillsDetail OrientationLeads for High PerformanceDecision Making Organizational SkillsPhysical EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear and speak.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.This position is performed in an office setting, five days a week with typical work hours being 8.30a through 5.15p.
