Job Description: Software Engineer
We are looking for an engineer for a hybrid Controls (we can train on the PLC side) and Software Engineer position. The person will be responsible for a wide range of product support roles including: configuration, installation, startup and troubleshooting on a range of B&W products within the utility, pulp and paper, and industrial markets.
Job Description
Design, development, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of software applications used within our controls products. Existing applications written in C#, C, C++, and VB.NET.
This position requires you to travel up to 25% of the time.
This individual will be working both independently and in a team environment within B&W and customer sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-Experience with SQL and SQL queries preferred. Database design and deployment is helpful and an understanding of network architecture and configuration is preferred.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
A highly motivated, self-directed, team oriented, and trustworthy person.
Ability to lead hands-on troubleshooting for installation and startup activities.
Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing software applications.
Ability to work and communicate with all members of a project team.
Will consider entry level candidates with right skill set. Max YOE 8 years.
Ability to accept technical direction and coaching from engineers and managers.
Excellent computer skills, analytical abilities, and time management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer relationship skills
