SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Clinical Coordinator directs, supervises, evaluates, and coordinates patient care services provided by department personnel to insure the delivery of quality patient care. Determines staffing needs and case assignments in collaboration with Team Leaders on a daily basis. Facilitates Team Conferences. Assists with ongoing Quality Assessment and Improvement, Utilization Review, and monthly billing. Encourages a harmonious, high-performance work environment characterized by positive relationships and a strong team orientation while providing the maximum amount of autonomy possible for staff members. Hires, trains, supervises clinical employees and interprets personnel practices; assists in preparation of annual budget, meets licensing and other authorized inspection groups; promotes favorable public relations and interprets the services of the facility to news media and the public; assists in the processing of admissions and coordinates work with state social and health agencies. Assists with utilization review and monthly billing activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

  • BLS certification required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years Perioperative nursing experience.

  • Previous supervisory experience in Perioperative Services required.
