Job Description:

About the Role :

Responsible for directing efficient, effective, and accurate shipping, receiving, dock, and warehouse activities. Supervises all warehouse operations, conduct of food safety, and quality procedures of the warehouse to assure a safe, efficient, productive, and positive work environment. This person consistently directs, coaches, trains, and gives performance feedback to the warehouse associates. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing occupational safety (OSHA) and food safety and food quality (FDA) in addition to environmental safety (EPA) in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Assures that each team member understands their work and responsibilities and is current on training expectations and, provides coaching, sets goals, and gives performance feedback

  • Works in collaboration with Supply Chain Manager and Material Planner's in maintainingaccurate records on inbound and outbound materials and inventory management

  • Oversees the use, maintenance and training for all warehouse equipment including but not limited to forklifts and pallet jacks and works with Plant Engineering and the Maintenance Team Leader with any concerns

  • Assure daily documentation, analysis, and trending of data regarding production, waste, maintenance issues, safety issues, employee issues and any other incidents. Assure the implementation of all identified food quality and food safety standards, laws, good manufacturing practices, training, and continuous improvement

  • Follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF as well as the regulations of major vendors and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA and assures associates are consistently trained in these standards and comply with all requirements

Important Details:

This role works Monday through Friday. It is a second shift role with hours from 6:00 pm to 3:00 am.

About You :

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • Associate degree in Warehouse or Supply Chain Management or a related field or equivalent work experience

  • Five-(5) years of work experience in progressive management of shipping, receiving, dock, and warehouse functions required, in food manufacturing preferred

  • Three-(3) years supervisory experience in a warehouse management position

  • Requires safe Forklift driving experience

  • Working knowledge of warehouse equipment and systems; SAP experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF and environmental and safety regulations
