Event Assistant
Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly professional Event Assistant to join us in our Lansdowne, VA office. As the Event Assistant, you are a vital part of the Events Team. In this role, you will report to the Event Manager and support the internal teams with various types of pre/post-event preparation and administrative tasks, along with coordinating in-house events at the Lansdowne office.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
Support the Director of Events and other Event Team members with pre-event logistical and operational planning, client management, and clerical support
Research vendors at the request of the Director of Events
Order snacks/beverages and place catering orders for small events
Maintain and track event supplies
Manage print needs for multiple events at a time
Assist other internal teams with event preparation
Coordinate in-house events and assist with larger events at the Lansdowne office
Handle data entry to track event attendees’ attendance
Provide high-quality customer service and find solutions to any problems that arise concerning the services provided
Perform related duties or special projects as assigned

Skills you need to succeed:
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Learning new technology systems
Diligent research skills
Strong time management skills – Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to:
Lead fellow team members based on years of event experience
Travel as needed (minimal)
Take the initiative and be a forward thinker
Serve the needs of the team with humility and a positive attitude
Education and/or experience:
Administrative assistant experience preferred
Desire to learn and grow in the Event Services
Bachelor’s degree preferred
