Job Title: Human Resources Administrator

Summary
Maintains personnel records, manages HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) and updates HRIS databases, checklists, and electronic employee file system. Key to this role is to often being an employee's first point of contact while creating a positive employee experience and ensuring the HR department operates efficiently. Position will also support the HR Generalists and HR Manager on various projects. Intent of this position is for the incumbent to develop and grow into a HR Generalist and/or Manager over time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintains detailed records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Supports and/or oversees attendance and payroll documentation
- Resolves employee queries relating to HR policies, processes, and procedures
- Assists with the recruitment process (e.g. pre-screening, background checks, drug screens, offer letters, etc.)
- Supports the new hire orientation and onboarding process
- Generates necessary or requested reports from HRIS databases
- Assists with the generation and preparation of HR KPI's and metrics
- Administers benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance programs
- Coordinates and facilitates annual and other training requirements as needed
- Supports and maintains safety policies, processes, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
- Supports accident investigations, the submission of worker compensation claims, and overall case management for each claim filed
- Participates and supports HR team on various projects
- Other duties as assigned
