Danfoss Editron is looking for Test Engineer to join our R&D Testing team in Lappeenranta. The team is working on system testing of new designs of power electronics and electric machines at all phases of product development.

Job Responsibilities
As an R&D Test Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Handle testing process from test planning to execution and reporting results together with other team members
Perform functional tests, full power tests, and systems tests. The tests will be performed on various phases of the product development project: Feasibility studies of new concepts of power electronics products, R&D tests on new designs of inverters, product validation and certification tests
Analyzing and debugging/troubleshooting issues found during the tests together with the design team
Update and develop test flows to reflect changes in relevant standards.
Maintain and upgrade test systems and equipment, including test automation
Close co-operation with internal and external Testing laboratories, Marine Societies and 3rd party Certification Bodies
Work safety is our top priority so you will be diligent on having a safety mindset on your everyday work. You will be the electrical safety supervisor on your testing tasks and follow the Finnish regulations about safety in electrical installation work.
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering
Previous work experience in testing of electrical products is an advantage
You are familiar and comply with the requirements of the Finnish regulations on safety in electrical installation work
Having experience of Python programming is an asset
Proficient in MS office; experience with Teamcenter and Sovelia is an advantage
Good oral and written communication skills in English and at least basic command of Finnish, including technical terminology
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Proactive approach
Strong problem-solving skills
