Description:

Summary:

Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel grounds and to help ensure an attractive environment for our guests up to the department standards. Performs a wide variety of activities such as sweep, pick up trash and debris, clean public areas, and performs related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of hotel grounds

  • Empty the trash and maintain their cleanliness

  • Clean walkways and ensure there are no potential hazards

  • Pick up trash and debris around the outside of the hotel

  • Clean and dry wet and bio-hazard spills in accordance with company procedures as well as OSHA guidelines as they pertain to bio-hazard material

  • Report all bio-hazard spills to the supervisor immediately

  • Report all maintenance issues around the property and hotel areas to supervisor/inspector

  • Understand and comply with job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels and other instructions

  • Respond quickly and courteously to all guest requests and complaints

  • Follow directions thoroughly and to completion

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Three months related experience and/or training

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably Housekeeping

  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, in performance of job duties

  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs and pushing, pulling or moving objects weighing up to 70 lbs

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, and kneel (over 95% of the time)

  • Ability to effectively communicate via radio

  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity and/or attention

  • Ability to work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail

  • Outdoor 95% of the time or more

  • Noisy

  • Extreme hot and cold temperatures, including humidity, rain, hail, and wind

  • Slippery surfaces and exposure to dust or other allergens
