Honeywell Solution Architect in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Solution Architect is a critical component of the customer capture team. They provide technical leadership, guidance and support to executive and technical level sales efforts across the entire customer base. This person will support the rest of the sales team in creating, demonstrating and delivering the solutions necessary to capture our targeted customers using deep technical knowledge of utility industry and operations; electric, gas, and water distribution systems; Honeywell solutions and capabilities; and partner products and solutions.

The Solution Architect is required to provide executive, regulatory and technical level presentations and demonstrations of Honeywell's suite of organic and partner solutions. The Solution Architect must also be versed in Honeywell product road maps with a requirement to convey that information both to customers and prospective customers as well as assisting to manage industry / customer expectations related to future timeline and feature set delivery back to product management teams. This position provides a critical bridge between the market, product marketing, product development, and delivery functions within Honeywell Smart Energy.

Additional responsibilities of the Solution Architect include:

  • Developing the technical solution component for RFP responses and customer facing documents where non-standard or partner-based technical offerings are required

  • Working with the business development team to develop and maintain relationships with industry partners needed to create and deliver customer specific solutions within the business unit

  • Developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining small systems for demonstrational purposes

  • Technical support of tradeshows and industry technical events, including speaking events

The salary range for this position is $106,000 - $153.000. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

  • Mastery of executive level presentation skills of complex and technical material

  • Verbal communications skills with a high degree of comprehension, appropriate interaction and knowledge retention

  • Ability to effectively train or teach technical material to customers and co-workers

  • Ability to effectively manage technical communications to the customer in support of the capture and/or deployment strategy

  • Effective written communication and reading comprehension of technical material

  • Management and maintenance of demonstration systems

  • Ability to conduct negotiations around available and desired technical capabilities
