GBC Advanced Materials CNC Setup/Operator/Programmer in Latrobe, Pennsylvania
General Machine Shop work in the manufacture of dies, jigs, fixtures, and component parts. Works with all types of Machine Shop tools and equipment. Receives supervision from Production Manager and direction from Tool and Die Maker A or Group Leader.
Primary Responsibilities:
Setting up and operating of a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders to make ceramic parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Interprets prints, sketches, engineering specifications, and work order instructions for each job operation.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Design & Build fixtures as required to meet product conformity.
Complete routine machine maintenance.
Perform to commitments regarding on-time delivery and completion of projects.
Participate in safety improvements and initiatives as requested.
Maintain high ethical standards for conduct.
Work collaboratively with fellow employees.
Willing to work reasonable overtime as needed to meet customer and department demands.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years additional related experience.
Experience working with CNC machining. HAAS Control experience is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with manual machining Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming. Solid Works, Autodesk (Fusion 360), and SPC experience considered an asset.
Previous Ceramic machining experience is considered as asset.
Use of Autodesk Fusion 360 computer aided drafting and computer aided machining software.
Computer numerical programming using G-Code for the operation of Hardinge super precision turning center
Use of statistical process control inspection software to maintain tolerancing on components
