Amergis Childcare Director - Early Education in Laurel, Maryland

looking for somebody that will be on site, ready to manage the business functions of the day care service

Hours are full time 8:30am-5:30pm or 9am-6pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively operates and manages all aspects of a childcare school, to include human resources, customer relations, financial systems, quality control and facility management.

  • Provides creative, age-appropriate programs to all children served at the academy.

  • Actively develops and maintains positive customer/community relations.

  • Maintains high-capacity utilization and manages all resources effectively and within budget.

  • Establishes strong working relationships with state licensing authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of Bachelors’ degree in the field of early childhood education, Elementary Education and or Business administration.

  • Must be Director qualified in the state of Maryland.

  • 90 hrs.’ in preschool, Infant/toddler and school age is required.

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience managing a childcare/preschool center.

Nice to have Certifications:

  • 90-Hour

  • 45-Hour

  • 9 Hour communication or college course work

  • Director certification

  • CPR certification

  • ADA certification

  • Breastfeeding certification

  • Basic Health & Safety
