Haering Precision USA LP Team Leader - Off Shift in Lavonia, Georgia

Haering Precision USA LP is a global automotive manufacturing and a leader in precision turned parts. We are searching for the right fit to join our quality team in Lavonia, GA to supervise, lead, and assist our off-shift quality departments.

The schedule is negotiable, to ensure it crosses over 2nd and 3rd shift with the typical schedule being Monday-Friday, with the potential for some overtime on the weekends. Any time worked over 40 hours is paid at time and a half.

Schedule options: Monday-Friday 4:00pm-12:00am or 5:00pm-1:00am

Job Description:

  • Ensures proper maintenance and care of microscopes and measuring devices
  • Ensures operators have necessary training (by our defined process), a clear understanding of functions and are performing their job function correctly and to safety standards
  • Ensures all planned shifts are meeting output and quality standards
  • Participates in and assists shift change meetings
  • Approves and plans overtime, time off, and and shift changes
  • Ensures working areas are clean and organized
  • Ensures that IQI process is adhered to in each manufacturing process
  • Ensures all required documentation is completed and correct
  • Supervises personnel to a positive, productive shift result
  • Reports and communicates with Quality Manager about complaints, negativity and personnel problems and maintains confidentiality about these personnel issues
  • Manages productivity of personnel (including overtime)
  • Ensures adequate stock of supply needed for daily operations (i.e. gloves, cases, cleaning products)
  • Ensures proper documentation and reporting is completed on the shift
  • On-call when required
  • Develops and implements continuous improvement
  • Determines if a candidate has successfully completed the training and if not will require the associate to complete training until they meet the required level of training
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
  • Familiar with required measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of specific quality procedures
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Above average math skills
