This position is for an FP& A Manager with effective communication skills. Candidates who enjoy working as part of a team will be interested in this position. Robert Half is seeking a skilled FP& A Manager to join a thriving company. Performing financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Your other duties will include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. What you get to do every single day:
Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations
Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Assemble and review forecasting reports
Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting
Requirements
Bachelors degree in finance or a related field
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Adeptness in financial modeling
Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel required
Prior experience using Adaptive Workday required
Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
