Your Role at KIK
The Sr. Engineering Project Manager reports to the VP of Engineering and is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and completion of capital projects within KIK’s engineering department. This role requires an entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance and quality standards while aligning with the organization's strategic objectives. We are looking for an individual to be located in the Atlanta area.
What You’ll Be Doing
Utilize engineering disciplines and project management tools to identify, define and implement value-added solutions that benefit KIK manufacturing operations and contribute to the success of the KIK organization.
Partner with the Pool and Household business division leaders and the local plant teams to strategically identify the best value creation opportunities.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using performance/OEE metrics, downtime data and material yield variances to identify improvement opportunities.
Create and deliver CapEx project proposal presentations to Key Stakeholders and Executive Leadership with project details and justification to obtain approval and funding.
Build and lead effective and efficient multidisciplinary project teams, including plant operations team members, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and track financial performance against established targets and operational goals. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvement.
Identify potential risks and develop contingency and mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other challenges. Proactively address issues as they arise to keep projects on track.
Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, regulatory authorities, and vendors. Prepare project updates and lead project update meetings to communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively and transparently, and to ensure and maintain alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Lead and manage multiple capital projects from scoping through installation, commissioning, startup, and return to operation, while keeping projects within budgeted cost, schedule and resource constraints.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, engineering capital projects, or equipment and process management in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
Automated packaging/bottling line design and implementation knowledge and experience (filling through palletizing).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to proactively and successfully manage scope, costs/budgets, and project risks, coordinate resources, and drive results.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the construction/engineering industry.
Proven ability to successfully complete major projects in a manufacturing environment.
Willing to travel up to 40%.
