Conduent Public Health Research Associate (remote) in Lebanon, Kansas

Conduent Healthy Communities Institute (HCI) is looking for a full-time, remote Public Health Research Associate to support the core functions of the Research Department. You will provide expert data guidance and analysis through our technology platform and consulting services. You will support the work of healthcare providers, health departments, and health collaboratives across the country in their community health improvement efforts.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Client Projects
Working with a team to conduct community health needs assessments and develop action plans
Interpreting and effectively communicating data analysis findings to audiences with a wide range of public health knowledge
Interacting with clients to answer data-related questions and ensure successful execution of products and services according to client needs
Supporting key informant interviews, focus groups, prioritization sessions, and stakeholder meetings
Data Analysis and Maintenance
Managing and analyzing large quantities of community health (quantitative and qualitative) and patient data
Maintaining and curating a database of health and health-related indicators to provide context for users in an easily understandable format
Maintaining and curating a database of community health interventions with proven public health impact
Content Development
Developing reports, summarizing data findings, and offering recommendations
Developing guides and tools for data collection
Assisting in the development of new data visualizations and web-based communication tools
Cross-functional projects
Working cross-functionally with other departments and lines of business
Engaging externally as a community health data expert
Leading various project teams for internal process improvements, solutions development, innovations, and client projects
Required experience and skills:
A Master's degree in Health related discipline
Experience in accessing, exploring, and analyzing data using SAS statistical software
Ability to synthesize data and present findings through compelling narratives and visuals
Familiarity and comfort with methods used to assess public health needs
Understanding of the relationship between healthcare and the broader community in the context of implementing community health programs and services
Experience with qualitative data analysis tools and techniques
Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and project management skills
Solid analytical and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote office setting
Proactive and resourceful
Desire to learn new skills and systems
Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred experience and skills:
A Master's in Public Health with coursework in statistics and/or epidemiology
Knowledge in best practices related to community health improvement, health equity, social determinants of health, and effective collaboration across sectors to maximize ROI
Experience with ArcGIS software and mapping methods (Could be trained on it.)
Familiarity with hospital quality improvement initiatives (e.g., CMS Readmission Reduction Program, value-based care reimbursement), medical terminology, and ICD coding
R statistical programming is plus, but we mostly use SAS (could be trained on it. )
Previous experience working remotely
