Dartmouth Health Applications Systems Programmer Analyst IS in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

Independently performs programming and analysis functions to assist in the development and implementation of new systems, the revision of existing systems, and in support of special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Full-stack (front-end and back-end) application, interface, and API development and maintenance for existing and new applications.

  • Keep up-to-date on emerging application design and database architectures, technologies, and methodologies, and attend training classes as necessary.

  • Install, research, test, and verify proper functioning of software updates.

  • Influence and verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of application architecture.

  • Research new features, software, and tools – with specific emphasis on relevant technologies and Cloud-based products.

  • Perform source control management and full lifecycle maintenance of application code.

  • Develop and maintain application code to adhere to the current and changing enterprise-wide computing infrastructure.

  • Maintain 3rdparty applications and their respective customizations and integrations into the enterprise environment.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure and demonstrate solutions align with business requirement.

  • Independently or collaboratively perform complex application analysis, development, and documentation.

  • On call rotation and some project work requiring off hours, weekend, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalency, with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability with applicable hardware and software applications
