Dartmouth Health Associate Telecommunications and Cable Technician in Lebanon, New Hampshire
Overview
Assists with monitoring and infrastructure support for voice and data communications equipment. Helps with Installing and maintaining the voice and data wiring plant.
Responsibilities
Assists in trouble shooting and resumption of processing for cable equipment and data communications equipment failures.
Helps provides proper documentation for plant management and keeps appropriate logs and files for cable plant.
Helps with cabling installations to meet EIA/TIA standards.
Assists with voice and data cable testing. Records and maintains cable test records.
Helps maintain the CATV network. Assists with television cable installations in accordance with industry standards. Helps with television receiver repairs.
Aides diagnosing and correcting copper, optical fiber, and Coax problems.
Assists in the installation and repair of telephone services.
Installing closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures.
Maintains the security of equipment, facilities and database.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
BICSI Installer/Technician certification preferred
Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety
