Dartmouth Health Supervisor Safety & Security in Lebanon, New Hampshire
Overview
Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm.
Develops and implements a departmental training program. Supervises assigned group of employees and give input into other staff performance appraisals.
Responsibilities
Monitors compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Conducts periodic training assessments to provide feedback and make recommendations relative to continuous performance improvement.
Compiles and maintains all training records.
Monitors and reports on security, access control, surveillance system, and ID badge programs and functionality.
Supervises assigned staff members and completes performance appraisals. Provides input into the performance of all other staff members. Takes immediate action on observed behavior that is unauthorized and/or inappropriate.
Oversees documented field training of assigned staff. Develops and implements approved or assignment training initiatives. Implements shift training to ensure continued officer proficiency in skills or to meet specific shift needs.
Assists in the supervision of other shifts and personnel.
Provides direction, guidance and mentoring of the Lead Officers and periodically works or visits others shifts to assess staff knowledge and response capabilities.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of related experience, or the equivalent in education and experience required.
Must complete and maintain all DHMC required training (in) including OCAT, handcuffs and batons.
Excellent communication skills required.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software desired.
Must have the ability to motivate, coach and lead others.
Required Licensure/Certifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required in accordance with D-H’s Driver Disqualifications Guidelines.
Must complete and maintain all DHMC required training (in) including OCAT, handcuffs and batons.
