Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Instructor – Part-time
Location: Lehi, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: As needed
Pay / Salary: $26.72/hour
SUMMARY
The Substitute CDL Instructor directly supervises and instructs students who are preparing for a career in the trucking industry. In this rewarding role, you will help students develop the skills and work habits they need to become safe and competent professional drivers. Minimum of two years of driving experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUBSTITUTE CDL INSTRUCTOR
Take necessary precautions to ensure an effective and safe level of direct supervision of students in the range and driving portion of the program
Effectively prepares students as professional drivers
Ensure that student's achievement of educational objectives is evaluated appropriately, to include their knowledge, skills, and abilities
Assesses student's progress toward meeting the requirements for graduation.
Models and teaches good work habits
Assists students in the use, care, and safety of program equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a Valid CDL Non-Restricted Class-A license
Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class-A Driving Experience
Minimum of 2 years over the road (OTR) or local driving experience
Must be able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
Must be able and willing to obtain an instructor license from a state approving agency
Must be proficient with a manual transmission
Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
