Instructional Designer
Location: Lehi, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: 20 hours per week. Hours flexible, but must be worked during school business hours, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay / Salary: $25.72
SUMMARY
The Instructional Designer works closely with our faculty, to assist with the development and implementation of new curriculum. Duties include a wide variety of instructional design, curricula development, analysis and implementation tasks. INSTRUCTOR DESIGNER - RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Analyzes existing curricula, teaching methods and supporting technologies against standard accepted academic best practices such as ADDIE, adult learning theories, etc.
Collaborates with faculty and staff to implement approved curricula, teaching methods and supporting technologies
Designs and Develops curricula for traditional, hybrid, and distance education courses
Develops and designs online material and assessment tools
Trains educators and students to use online learning system and provides Canvas technical support.
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER - QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENT
Masters degree in Instructional Technology -OR- equivalent instructional design work experience.
Familiar with website design, video technology and editing
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to utilize current technology and authoring tools to create high-level training programs.
Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Experience with LMS platforms and concepts such as Instructure’s Canvas.
