Instructional Designer

Location: Lehi, UT

Status: Part-time

Hours: 20 hours per week. Hours flexible, but must be worked during school business hours, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pay / Salary: $25.72

SUMMARY

The Instructional Designer works closely with our faculty, to assist with the development and implementation of new curriculum. Duties include a wide variety of instructional design, curricula development, analysis and implementation tasks. INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER - BENEFITS

INSTRUCTOR DESIGNER - RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Analyzes existing curricula, teaching methods and supporting technologies against standard accepted academic best practices such as ADDIE, adult learning theories, etc.

  • Collaborates with faculty and staff to implement approved curricula, teaching methods and supporting technologies

  • Designs and Develops curricula for traditional, hybrid, and distance education courses

  • Develops and designs online material and assessment tools

  • Trains educators and students to use online learning system and provides Canvas technical support.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER - QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENT

  • Masters degree in Instructional Technology -OR- equivalent instructional design work experience.

  • Familiar with website design, video technology and editing

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Able to utilize current technology and authoring tools to create high-level training programs.

  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Experience with LMS platforms and concepts such as Instructure’s Canvas.
