CPS Warehouse Supervisor in Lehighton, Pennsylvania

The Warehouse Supervisor for Receiving and Inventory Control is responsible for overseeing the efficient transportation, storage, and quality control of all finished goods across multiple locations. This role ensures that products are accurately received, stored, and maintained to meet high standards of quality and readiness for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transportation Coordination:
    • Oversee the transport of finished goods from production plants to multiple warehouse locations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate intercompany transportation across all locations.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Ensure proper put away and storage of inventory to facilitate First-In-First-Out (FIFO) picking at all warehouse locations.
    • Maintain inventory in pristine condition, properly wrapped and labeled on unbroken pallets.
    • Manage the receipt, notification, and delivery of all indirect products across multiple locations.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Ensure all indoor and outdoor inventories at all locations are in excellent condition and ready for shipment.
    • Implement and maintain best-in-class daily cycle count practices to ensure inventory accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
    • Hire, train, and when necessary, terminate warehouse receiving associates at multiple locations.
    • Manage 3 direct reports and schedules, including lunches, breaks, and paid time off across all locations.
    • Foster a company culture that aligns with our values, standards, and practices.
    • Hold associates accountable for maintaining these standards.
    • Coach and counsel associates to enhance operational and customer service efficiencies.
  • Training and Safety:
    • Lead training programs in safety, proper receiving processes, and other necessary areas across all locations.
    • Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for warehouse operations at all locations.
  • Receiving Operations:
    • Oversee receiving, storage, and security of products at all locations.
    • Monitor unloading, receiving, and put away processes.
    • Ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
    • Reconcile dock reports and exceptions daily.
    • Resolve discrepancies with Accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
    • Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving for timely data entry.
    • Report damaged or incorrectly shipped merchandise to the merchandising department.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Receive inventory and process inventory adjustments in the system.
    • Compile and review inventory reports for internal distribution.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and inventory best practices.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with staff, customers, and vendors.
    • Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities.
  • Safety and Maintenance:
    • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order necessary testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
    • Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.

Reports to:

Warehouse Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, particularly loading and shipping procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and comp iance.
