The MSAT Lab operates within the Large Molecule Drug Substance (LM DS) platform, which is a segment of the global MSAT organization.
As we work to enhance MSAT capabilities to fully own our current and future commercial products, we are establishing a dedicated MSAT LM DS Lab specializing in Large Molecules (mAbs, complex glycoproteins, bi- & tri-specifics). This lab will house small-scale equipment including 2-10 L bioreactors (fed-batch and continuous perfusion), downstream processing and process analytical lab equipment.
The MSAT Lab will support Life Cycle Management of commercial products and Secondary Technology Transfers. Our lab will conduct satellite runs in Leiden and for EU & Row address complex investigations, process improvements, and serve as a non-routine sample hub.
As we expand our capabilities, we are looking for a dedicated Lab Operator to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute experiments and tasks as assigned, following established procedures and submitting data outcomes to your manager/ internal customers.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
Conduct routine testing and analysis, supporting the scientific team in achieving research goals.
Manage sample handling, preparation, and storage in compliance with established protocols.
Document and report data accurately, contributing data to technical reports and manuscripts and support to the knowledge base within the laboratory.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize laboratory processes and workflow.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance and calibration tasks.
Actively participate in project meetings and assist team members in achieving research goals.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
An associate degree (B.S. / B.A.) or equivalent in Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience and Skills:
Proven ability to follow standard procedures and offer insight for process improvements.
Basic communication skills for interacting with supervisors and workgroup peers.
Capability in utilizing statistical packages and databases for data management.
Experience in operating laboratory equipment and familiarity with laboratory safety practices.
Communication and Teamwork:
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with scientists and other lab personnel.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in performing lab tasks and documenting results.
