Position Summary Incumbents in this series are responsible for reviewing requests for the purchase of equipment and supplies, determining availability and appropriateness of products while providing necessary technical assistance to agency personnel and others. Maintenance of records and preparation of various documents describing goods and service that are being provided is done electronically and manually. Duties and Responsibilities * Reviews requests for the purchase of supplies and equipment and takes appropriate action(s). * Obtains necessary information from vendors and technical materials to determine availability, suitability, and appropriateness of items to be purchased. * Prepares electronic and manual documents describing goods and services to be provided. * Reviews documents and various reports for accuracy and completeness. * Works with vendors and agency staff to resolve problems. * Completes purchases efficiently and according to established standards and policies. * Loads and unloads trucks. * Unpacks and examines incoming goods to verify quantity and condition of goods. * Marks identifying code, figures or letters on articles and attach tags for identification purposes. * Maintains physical and electronic records of receipts and distribution of stock items. * Maintains Maximo inventory system. * Conducts quarterly random inventory counts for a minimum of 50 items to verify accuracy. * Documents fuel usage in all District I fuel locations. * Maintains organization and appearance of District storeroom. * Conducts annual fiscal year end inventories at all depot and District storeroom locations to determine actual levels on hand and to reconcile inventory levels. Additional inventories are completed as required due to staff movement, break-ins and known theft. * Travel to various supply/vendor locations as needed. * Submit purchase order requests timely and in accordance with policy and procedure. * Issue office supplies to staff as needed. * Any other related duties. Minimum Entrance Requirements First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days. Applicants must have at least two years of full-time, or equivalent part- time, experience in storekeeping work in a storeroom, stockroom or warehouse, the major duties of which included receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment.
