Shire Safety Engineer II in Lessines, Belgium

Role:

Integrated in the Reliability Engineering team and as a SME, the Safety Engineer II is responsible for the compliance of all equipment of the site with the Belgian and European directives related to pressure vessels, lift systems and Gas systems

Scheldule and participate in periodic regulatory inspection for Pressure (equipment & assembly), Lifting (accessory & Equipment), Gas (storage & burners & equipment).

Responsibilities:

  • Support to the EHS Department for the periodic unregulated inspection as Personal & collective safety equipment, ladders, air volumetric flow of laboratory fume hood.

  • Ensure the continuous improvement of regulatory inspection, PM plan (in CMMS) and EHS aspects.

  • Manage these implementation of corrective actions and provide the associated answers for removing these observation identified by Notified Body.

  • Apply the GMP rules in all activities related to regulatory periodic control process (Belgium and European laws)

  • Analyze and report all the regulatory inspection results, in order to update KPI, Database and PM plan (in CMMS)

  • Be the interface between the engineering, the maintenance operational teams and Manufacturing teams , in order to ensure that the repair or modification are verified by Notitied Body.

  • Support the reliability activites in order to provide all these PED requirements.

Profile:

  • Master in Engineering (Electromechanical)

  • 3 to 5 years in a pharmaceutical industry

  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

  • Sense of Purpose

  • Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of used equipment and technologies

  • Good communication

  • MS Office, Vault, PI&D, CMMS

  • Knowledge of flow calculation (Gas, Water and Steam)

  • Knowledge of Pressure and lifting regulatory

  • English spoken / Written / Read - Good
